Yorkshire Cancer Research now has a shop in Richmond content

A new Yorkshire Cancer Research shop was officially opened in Richmond today (Wednesday, 29th May).

The shop, located in the town’s bustling marketplace, welcomed customers for the first time this morning.

Dr Kathryn Scott, Chief Executive at Yorkshire Cancer Research, said: “It’s great to be in Richmond. The opening is an opportunity for people in the area to shop, donate and volunteer to help make a difference to people with cancer.

“Yorkshire Cancer Research exists so more people live longer healthier lives, free of cancer and the charity’s shops play a vital role in making this possible. The funds raised in Richmond will help fund cancer research and pioneer new services for people with cancer in Yorkshire.”

The shop is the charity’s 10th in the region and forms part of an ambitious target to have a shop on every high street in Yorkshire.
