Jean Boothroyd, from Fenay Bridge held the event for Yorkshire Cancer Research on 30th September at The Wesley Centre, Almondbury Methodist Church. Yorkshire Cancer Research funds pioneering cancer research to help more people survive cancer, in Yorkshire and beyond. The funds raised by Jean will help continue this vital work.

As well as selling her delicious home baking on the day, Jean sold cakes in the run-up to the coffee morning. The event also featured a charity raffle, chocolate tombola and book stall, organised by Jean’s friends, and was supported by members of the charity’s Huddersfield Volunteer Group.
