Yorkshire Cancer Research funds pioneering cancer research to help more people survive cancer, in Yorkshire and beyond. The funds raised by the volunteers will help to continue this vital work.

Jane Dutton, chair of the Huddersfield Volunteer Group, said: “The event was a fantastic success. A huge thank you to the boutiques, models, and our guests for supporting Yorkshire Cancer Research. The money raised will help to fund pioneering research in Yorkshire.”

The event was held at the Woodman Inn in Thunderbridge and displayed a range of fashion from several independent retailers, Almond Boutique, Dare Boutique, Hats by Elizabeth Gales, and The Old Post Office.

Two members of the Huddersfield Volunteer Group and three family members joined models from the boutiques on the catwalk. Guests also enjoyed a raffle and silent auction.

The Huddersfield Volunteer Group has raised more than £1,500,000 since it was first formed in 1964.
