Cancer in Yorkshire

People are more likely to get cancer and more likely to die from cancer in Yorkshire than almost anywhere else in England.

Yorkshire Cancer Research exists to change this.

Is cancer worse in Yorkshire?

Over 30,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year in Yorkshire. Cancer impacts people from all backgrounds and walks of life. Factors such as rural isolation, poverty and behaviours such as smoking are all reasons why cancer disproportionately impacts people in our region.
